'Stolen Heart' Print Release

SHOK-1 is pleased to announce ‘Stolen Heart’, a limited edition handmade silkscreen print.


The artwork depicts a chest X-ray with a broken glass hole where the heart would be, as if subjected to a smash and grab. “We’ve all had our hearts stolen, for better or for worse”, as the artist puts it.

Like a genuine X-ray film, the print occupies the entire sheet - what is known as a bleed print. To achieve this, each edition was printed on a larger sheet then manually cropped by hand for each edition.

This artwork is based on the extremely popular ‘Stolen Heart’ mural painted at the entrance to the Truman Brewery in London. The original piece was rendered in freehand spraypaint using a unique skillset refined over a career spanning 40 years.

RELEASE DETAILS

This edition is released in a single colourway. It is a powerful work that will add great impact to your collection and lend drama and style to any room.

For this release, we commissioned the experts at Jealous Print here in London. A highly sophisticated silkscreen process was used to capture all of the intricate details of Shok's technique. Many delicate layers of ink were painstakingly built up over time to reproduce the subtle tones of the original work.

A top quality extra heavyweight cotton rag paper was used and a varnish was included to afford the print a luxurious feel, and longevity.

 
Each print is individually signed and numbered by SHOK-1 and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

We ship worldwide with tracking and insurance. Up to two prints can be included per tube.
